Practicing almost daily, Manon Isler creates intuitive collages using images from her magazine collection. Fascinated by the relationship to the body and its representation, she explores compositions that she transports into new environments to provoke fresh reflections. The space defined by her sketchbooks, one small and one large, plays a crucial role in her inspiration, with each format offering its own constraints and freedoms that feed her creative process. The addition of words, instinctively selected to interact with the image, remains a key step in the development of her collages.
